Externship Program

The Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped has partnered with Commonwealth Technical Institute at Hiram G Andrews Career Guidance Center in developing an externship program. 

In an externship, Students will continue their education in a work-like atmosphere, where they put skills they learned in the classroom to practical use. Students receive a first-hand experience with the day-to-day responsibilities of a person in that position, allowing them to gain confidence, ask questions, and observe.

CCABH has several departments including but not limited to, Information Technology, Facility Maintenance, Administrative Support, Material Handling and more in which CTI and CCABH can come together to offer students a first-hand work experience.
