CAB® Solar is proud to announce the completion of two facility expansion projects of the Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped (CCABH). Headquartered in Western Pennsylvania, CCABH is the manufacturer of CAB® Solar and CAB® Products with two divisions located in Johnstown, PA and Ebensburg, PA. Both projects expanded manufacturing capacity and provided additional space for future growth, due to an ongoing and increasing demand for CAB® Solar products. These projects focused on enhancing manufacturing efficiency by adding additional state-of-the-art machinery, administrative offices, and personnel.
CAB®’s expanded Engineering and Product Development Department, along with its newly created Quality Control Department, have been critical components in this expansion. These two departments have streamlined CAB®’s manufacturing workflows, resulting in shorter lead times for CAB® customers.
CAB® Solar is also completing the registration process for ISO 9001 Certification. ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) that consistently produces high-quality products that meet both customer and regulatory requirements. CAB® Solar anticipates obtaining ISO 9001 Certification by the end of the third quarter in 2024. This certification process demonstrates CAB®’s ongoing commitment to the consistency and high-quality manufacturing of the organization’s product line, while improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

With the new facility expansions complete, CAB® Solar is looking forward to the increased efficiency of its existing product line and further development of its fully customizable line of products while fulfilling CCABH’s mission of providing employment and vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
