CAB Cable Rings

CAB Cable Rings provide maximum strength and safety for the support of aerial cables in power utility, telecommunication and industrial applications. CAB Rings are manufactured from galvanized steel, copper clad steel, bronze or Type 316 stainless steel to withstand the most corrosive environments. For added safety and protection, any style of cable ring can be totally insulated with a tough, 80 mil coating of high dielectric grade PVC Plastisol.

CAB Cable Rings conform to rigid standards of quality and performance. For maximum strength, cable rings are manufactured from high strength spring steel and bronze in rolled flat wire form. This high quality material provides a smooth, flat surface for the support of cables and uniform, rounded edges for the protection of cable jackets. CAB's advanced roll-form design, combined with the strong spring temper of the flat wire, provides a tight, secure attachment of the cable ring to the messenger strand.

CAB Rings are manufactured in standard, medium and long styles. Standard style rings are designed for the suspension of single cables. Long style rings have extra length which allows a second cable to be suspended under the standard style rings from the same messenger strand. Medium style rings have a length under strand that is between the standard and long style rings. With their extra capacity. They are ideal for single or multiple cables and are available by special order. Because of their extra length, medium and long style rings are much easier to open and close for improved handling and faster installation time. For special applications, CAB has the capability of manufacturing custom rings in sizes up to 10" in diameter with any length under strand.

The recommended spacing for 1-1/2" size rings is 15" to 20". The recommended spacing for 3" through 6" size rings is 12" to 15". The exact spacing distance will vary depending of the type of cable, nature of installation and loading requirements. When ordering cable rings, be sure to specify type of material, size, style and exact messenger strand size. CAB Rings are available in both PVC coated and uncoated galvanized steel, copper clad steel, bronze or Type 316 stainless steel.
